Qualifying Criteria

In this category applicants can apply to immigrate to the UK if they make a substantial investment in the UK, although this is also a requirement of the entrepreneur category the amount for investment is much larger and there are no requirements to engage in the business activities.
Applicants still need to score 75 points and must be able to show that they have either:

• A Minimum of £1million of their own money in the UK
• Personal assets exceeding the value of 2 million taking account of liabilities
• Money under applicant’s control which amounts to no less than 1 million, this may include loaned money (from a financial institution regulated by the Financial Services Authority)

Applicants applying under the Investor category do not need to show that they have a level of English
